We are a distributor of luxury kitchen and bath products. We sell, market, and service luxury brands in the territories in which we operate.
A family owned and operated business, Milestone Distributors began its mission in 1974, to be the premier sales, marketing, service, and distribution solution to premium and luxury product vendors in the kitchen and bath industries.
We commit to achieving this by developing regional and strategic sales channels based on excellent service; strong, profitable relationships; and a product and service offering that allows for significant market share within our customer base.
Based in Dallas, Texas, the company has its roots through its sister company, Vent-A-Hood. Vent-A-Hood was established in 1937 and was the first manufacturer of home cooking ventilation and range hoods. Led by Miles Woodall, Jr., the company has continued to be a trailblazer in the kitchen and bath industries.
From the combination of a wholly-owned distribution entity (by Vent-A-Hood) and a key vendor relationship with then startup, Viking Range Corporation, as well as Vent-A-Hood, Milestone was born. The company emerged under the leadership of Kirk Woodall and experienced tremendous growth and success.
Now, in its second generation of Woodall family management, Milestone continues to grow and expand its business.
The Milestone of the 21st Century has expanded to meet our customers’ needs and to have an even greater and more positive impact with our dealers. Our company has grown to three sales divisions: Milestone Distributors (major appliance sales), Milestone Water (luxury plumbing and decorative hardware), and MD|LG (LG Studio Series and core product sales). Milestone also is home to Milestone Signature Service which facilitates post-sale warranty and parts support for our vendors and customers.
About Milestone Water
Milestone Water was born out of an partnership with Rohl, a premier decorative plumbing manufacture, and Silvertip Marketing Group.
Silvertip Marketing Group was formed in January 2001 by Gary Kimmey and Bill Powell in January 2001 with a focus toward the DPH Industry (Decorative Plumbing & Hardware). The line concentration was garnered toward the high-end product offering that applied to the industry along with the ability to specify the lines to the design industry.
Ivan Morales joined SMG in May 2001 and Christine Martin joined in 2009 to bring even better coverage and service to SMG’s customers.
In November 2009 SMG joined Milestone Distributors, Inc. and became Milestone Water. The synergies of the two companies have been blended to become a marketing force in the appliance, plumbing and hardware industry.
Over the years, SMG has won multiple awards and accolades. They won the DPHA Representative Agency of the Year in 2007. Recently, Bill Powell was awarded the 2010 Point of Excellence Awards by elite design firm, Wilson Associates.
